I AM HERE

For my project I wanted to say I AM HERE within the sea of graphic designers, hopefully getting seen and gaining creative opportunities.

This is a QR (quick response) barcode, it can hold more information than a regular barcode and it can be used to link people to the Internet or various other forms of communication.

It works through scanning the QR code using a mobile phone or webcam equipped with a QR code scanner. Once scanned it directly links you to a webpage or other media.

It’s huge in Japan and is used on my promotions and is slowly being incorporated into English advertising.

So to say I AM HERE, I created this series of posters each with there own individual QR codes which link to pieces from my online portfolio.
When scanned they either link to a poster that can be printed, or a film, which can be viewed or downloaded. As a gift or incentive to collect the rest of the series.

They can collect the rest of the series by viewing the map, which is this code on each of the posters, and finding the remaining QR codes.

I placed the first series of 5 posters around Chelsea, here are some examples of people using them.

My concept was to have these displayed around London on billboards to buses to create a giant treasure hunt, which would give me wide spread publicity.
As it does not specify exactly what you are receiving it becomes a reward for the inquisitive.

These won’t all be potential clients but through linking to my webpage they would give me more site visits and through word of mouth or passing on could lead to future clients.
